Help Us Save A Young Girl From Tragic Injustice
Sarah*, an albino from Central Africa, was killed and her organs harvested for African witchcraft purposes. Now, her albino sister, Hope*, is fleeing. We, Kimberly and Tonya, are going to Uganda on Wednesday to meet her at a refugee camp and help her gain asylum*. Immediate financial help and prayers are needed*. Read more… * * *Sarah* During December 2010 Sarah was groomed by a boy in the village where she lives. He deceived her by claiming that he loved her and wanted to marry her. Shortly before Christmas, he told Sarah he wanted to take her to buy some new clothes for her birthday. Hope believed him and went with the boy. She was drugged. At this point, two other boys from the same village got involved. They took Sarah and gave her to a third party, who the police are searching for. Sarah has not been seen since. The boys have since been found and interrogated by local police. They alleged that they were paid $100 US each for their involvement. It is rumoured that both Sarah’s body and Hope’s are worth $5000 US each on the open market. On Friday, January 14 2011, it was reported that Sarah had been killed, and her body harvested for various body parts to be sold. Furthermore, it has been reported that she was ‘hung out to dry’ so that they can use the skin and bone to be crushed into a powder for the witch doctors to use. *Hope* Her sister, Hope, has been guarded by her family in Central Africa… literally, with machetes. She, along with family members, will this week make the journey from their village to the United Nations Human Rights Commission on Refugees in Central Africa. Her brother, who resides in near the headquarters, will help her once she arrives in the city to reach the UNHCR. Organ Harvesting for ritual purposes in Africa, has been classified as human trafficking by the United Nations. That’s where Justice Acts comes in. We’re needed to walk side by side with her and her young son and push the paperwork, interviews, etc. through to get her and her son special protection from the UN and asylum in an undisclosed country, where she has a sister and sponsors willing to fly her and her son over and take care of them. The majority of Justice ACT’s limited funding is going to our safe house, which is opening this month. So, this trip will be coming out of our own pockets. Tonya and I are trying to raise $3000 US overnight. If you could give toward our airfare, on the ground costs, and expenses incurred on behalf of Hope and her son, our albino refugee, it would be immensely appreciated. ($1500 x 2 –Flying within Africa is as expensive as it is inconvenient.)
